| About us | Women and children often leave all of their possessions when they transition into a domestic violence shelter. This is the driving force behind PRESENT NOW’s Presents Program. The Program surprises each child with three presents per year–one on Valentine’s Day, on Back to School Day, and on their birthday. In partnership with our network of Shelter Partners, PRESENT NOW delivers the presents to the mothers – helping them rekindle a healthy, loving relationship with their children during their recovery. In its first year, PRESENT NOW delivered 118 presents. Now, 8 years later, PRESENT NOW has delivered 8,750 presents, impacting 5,000 families. The organization has raised over $2.5 million, and serves 44 shelters in California, Texas, Nevada, Alaska, and New York, with the help of over 200 volunteers. |
