Grown-Up N' Me VolunteerAt Pretend City, we believe that it is never to early to tech children about donating services and giving back to their community. That is why Pretend City has created "Grown-Up N' Me" under our volunteer program to encourage the younger generation of Orange County to participate and learn about philanthropic endeavors with their grown-up.Greeter VolunteerA Greeter Volunteer is responsible for welcoming guests to the museum and making sure all children leave the museum with an adult. Greeter Volunteers will also be responsible for handing out Pretend City brochures and any other materials necessary. Greeter Volunteers will need to be comfortable taking direction and working with the public.Exhibit Support VolunteerAn Exhibit Volunteer at Pretend City Children’s Museum is responsible for facilitating the role-playing experience for children 0-8 years of age and will be assigned to work in one of the main exhibits. This person will interface with children, staff, volunteers and school staff to provide a fun and creative environment for all visitors.Administrative VolunteerAn Administrative Volunteer provides additional assistance to various administrative departments within the museum and is responsible for helping with daily clerical and office duties. An administrative volunteer will need to be comfortable using a computer and the Internet.Field Trip ExplorerAre you currently a retired or current educator looking to continue to help children? If so, the Field Trip Explorer is the right volunteer role for you! The Field Trip Explorer will assist Pretend City Children’s Museum Education Department staff in coordinating and conducting field trips.Special Events VolunteerA Special Events Volunteer works within the Department of Development to assist Pretend City Children Museum’s staff members with birthday parties and after-hours facility rentals, including but not limited to: birthday parties, school dances, and corporate/fundraising events. Special Events Volunteers are responsible for assisting with setting up and breaking down the event, preparing supplies for the party, and helping to supervise the children in attendance. |
