Volunteering on Manistee's Ghost ShipWhether it be designing and building sets, decorating the different areas, creating audio/video effects, designing costumes, doing makeup, scaring the bejeebers out of people, working the pay table, helping direct people in the parking lot, walking through passing out water to actors, cooking dinner for everyone at the end of the night, and so much more!! In most cases, we allow minors age 14+ to volunteer with parents signed permission, or an adult accompanying them.VolunteerThere are endless opportunities to volunteer on our ships; from painting and cleaning, to giving tours, and everything in-between. We also have volunteer positions available such as tour guide, purser (Boatel overnight attendant), or gift shop attendant. |

About us | The Society for the Preservation of the S.S. City of Milwaukee was organized in 1985 to establish the carferry City of Milwaukee as a museum ship. Since that time, the Society has continued ongoing restoration and preservation of this historically significant carferry. Our activities include informative tours and exhibits, special events, sale of publications and mementos of historical nature, and assistance to researchers. |
