Needs |
Pet Foster ParentDo you have extra room in your heart to become a foster parent? Safe Harbor is always looking for foster families to care for animals that are too young to be adopted yet (under 8 weeks), recovering from surgery, or pregnant mothers. Our need is primarily in the summer time and it is mainly mother cats and young kittens. Safe Harbor will provide you with all the supplies you need as well as veterinary advice and support.VolunteerWe are always looking for volunteers to help us with a variety of tasks at the shelter. Opportunities include: dog walker, cat socialization, fundraising events, animals transporters, office aid, kennel cleaning, ans assistance with off-site adoption events and presentations. Once you have attended a one hour orientation you are able to come in and volunteer whenever you are available. |

How you help |
---|
About us | Incorporated in 1916 as a humane society for children and animals, Safe Harbor has taken on many forms. From a humane society with the purpose of preventing abuse, cruelty and neglect of both children and animals, to a city pound attached to the fire department, to the open admission humane society serving all of Kenosha County, Safe Harbor Humane Society has grown with our community. We are devoted to saving the lives of as many pets as possible. Our current site is over 30 years old and holds 100 cats and 42 dogs. |
