| About us | Seeds of Literacy is an award-winning, personalized education adult literacy program offering free, 1-to-1 tutoring in basic ed & GED® test prep to nearly 1,000 adults annually with the help of 200+ volunteers. Our official GED section pass rate is higher than the state’s average rate. Last fiscal year, 166 students passed 244 test sections and a record-setting 57 graduated.Seeds serves adults in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. 88% of our students live at or below federal poverty guidelines. All services are free to students. Adult literacy annihilates poverty. It is the first step to economic self-sufficiency, better health, and the academic success of children. Seeds is the only nationally accredited literacy program in Ohio. |
