Our mission

Our mission is to be an innovative regional leader in responsible treatment of homeless dogs and cats, primarily through their rescue and placement in forever loving homes, and by promoting spaying and neutering to control pet overpopulation.

Needs

Dog Volunteer

Volunteers help by walking and socializing dogs. Volunteers must first attend training and must be 18 years old unless accompanied by an adult.

Thrift Store Volunteer

We operate Reno’s only Thrift Store whose proceeds support homeless pets in our community. Assist in the store by helping clients and keeping everything clean and organized.

Weekend Vaccine Clinic

The SPCA of Northern Nevada offers a low-cost vaccine and microchip clinic right here at the SPCA’s Adoption Center. We are looking for vet program students to help assist with our clinic.

Foster

The SPCA of Northern Nevada has a wonderful network of foster care volunteers who open up their homes and hearts — for a few weeks or even a few months — to care for hundreds of puppies and kittens.

We accomplish our mission with a dedication to our core values and a lifetime commitment to our animals.
