The Tampa Bay Network to End Hunger is a coalition of over 350 members—corporations, non-profits, faith-based organizations, universities, foundations, and individuals- spread across a tri-county area- Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas. As a collective, the Network identifies and implements solutions to hunger. Some of its work team projects include: DIY Garden2Go boxes that are ideal for growing vegetables and herbs in small spaces; healthy corner stores that provide access to nutritious foods in low-income communities; and an app that connects restaurants with local 501(c)(3) charities who distribute any excess foods to their clients, partnering with food banks to collect and recycle unusable food; and ensuring kids who rely on school meals during the school year also have meals during the summer.
