| Description | In this role, volunteers provide consumer companionship. Many consumers feel isolated and would like to connect with someone over the phone once a week. The program will connect a volunteer and consumer as TeleFriends. The volunteer will call and check-in on the consumer, chat, and provide companionship via phone. With the TeleFriends program, we hope to alleviate the feeling of social isolation and create friendships that will last a lifetime. |
