Needs |
Outreach & EventsWe’ve held an annual conference nearly every year since 1940. In recent years we’ve focused on our soil and our food system, both globally and locally through our Center for Regenerative Practice, Agraria. Prior to 2017, our conferences mainly addressed the problems of peak oil, climate change, and increasing inequity. Volunteers can come to assist with the variety of needs we have during our conferences.Land ManagementFolks can expect a wide variety of tasks, including barn building projects, invasive removal, cutting and breakdown of brush, gardening and weeding, transplanting, and other general land care.Strengthening the Local Food SystemWe host the Produce Perks/SNAPS program at the Yellow Springs Farmers Market and are seeking volunteers for managing the table. All volunteers get trained on how to use the machines and get to enjoy building relationships with the community.GROUP VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIESBring your group out to volunteer at Agraria this spring and help us get ready to open our bike path! The Agraria-Yellow Springs bike trail will be a 1-mile connector between our site to the Village of Yellow Springs. We need your help in removing Out of Place Species (OOPS) like amur honeysuckle and garlic mustard. Volunteers will be performing tasks that include using tools to remove OOPS, breaking down & moving brush piles, and chopping wood.Media & MarketingWe have a number of projects and events going on that need recorded and advertised. Work with our media team to help document what is going on at Agraria, and help spread the word about the amazing work happening at Agraria. |

How you help |
---|
About us | Agraria is a 128-acre educational and research farm that explores and demonstrates the benefits of regenerative practices at multiple levels—from the environmental, economic, psychological, and social, to their impact on human health and well-being. Soil regeneration is the root-bed of this work. Our farm property is rented out by up-and-coming farmers who work to utilize regenerative techniques to keep the land healthy for years to come. Be on the lookout for upcoming events and make your own here at Agraria. |
