| About us | The TJSWCD provides programs and services to protect our local watersheds and the Chesapeake Bay. A watershed is the land area that drains to a stream, lake or river. What happens on the land affects the water quality in the water body that it surrounds. Healthy watersheds protect water quality, and also provide benefits the people and wildlife that live there. |
