Mediator VolunteerProvide mediation services to disputing parties, document contact with clients on appropriate forms, conduct necessary follow-up with disputants, provide resources and referrals, assist with special projects or events as needed, and attend advanced trainings. Bilingual capabilities welcome.Sexual Assault Volunteer AdvocateAssist in providing services to survivors of sexual assault/abuse and their families to help reduce the trauma associated with a crime. Respond to hotline calls and/or provide on-scene advocacy at hospitals. Skills and Qualifications: Must be able to communicate with empathy and concern. Be patient, non-judgmental and able to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural/ethnic diversity of the service population.Youth Shelter VolunteerThe Youth Shelters welcome volunteers who would like to donate their time and share their talents with the residents by leading a group in a number of subjects, such as arts and crafts, gardening, cooking, music, yoga or other therapeutic topics. We are always open to new ideas! Additionally, the shelters are always looking for volunteers to donate meals, decorate for the holidays, or assist with house maintenance and upkeep.Event VolunteerEvent volunteers are important too. Apply to become a volunteer for one of our upcoming events.Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force VolunteerVolunteers assist with providing opportunities for survivors to cope with trauma and develop self-sufficiency. Opportunities include community outreach, life skills coaching, mentoring, interpreting, special events and donations. |
