Behind-the-Scenes VolunteerThere is so much work to be done "behind the scenes" in order to make WordPlay's events and programs run smoothly. These opportunities cover a wide range of work, from physical to administrative. Volunteers may help us paint a new program space; print, fold and/or pack materials for an outreach event; or hang up flyers in local neighborhoods, advertising our free programs.Event & Outreach VolunteerFrom open mic nights to Ride for Reading, WordPlay hosts several community events throughout the year. And the more people we have around to help, the better! Duties may include setting up/cleaning up; distributing flyers; greeting attendees and showing them where to go; serving food and drinks; and taking photos. |
